Landscapes

I love photographing people but landscapes have always been a passion, mostly looking at other peoples'. I want to take some striking vistas the big wide open spaces... I often end up going small. Lately I've been watching the sky a lot. Skyscapes? Denmark is a little flat and Samsø is pretty typical landscapewise. But watch this space.

What makes a landscape - well a landscape? The texture of this caught me. This is taken in Aarhus. Fujifilm xt-10 Helios-44M sunny sixteen on a slightly overcast day.

This was the night of the full moon. Cloudy as usual not much light. I spotted the grass swaying in the breeze and tried to get it in focus at 100 iso with ambient light from my headlights. The wind refused to be still and the raw file hid some amazing colours.

Yes that's Patchoulie in the field, getting in my shot. She came with me just to keep me company. She had a look through the viewfinder of my GX680, got a little lesson on why the images was upside down. We talked photography and I said "One of the important things with photography is turning round to see what is behind you." This is what was behind us.
